Q&A: Affordable small SUVs with self-park systems?

Need a car that parks itself? Here are five compact models that offer a helping hand.

Hi there – my Mum who is closing in on 80 years is wanting to downsize from her mid-2000s Honda CR-V to something more compact – but we are looking for a compact SUV with park assist and all the modern safety tech. What can you suggest? Many thanks, Justin

Hi Justin,

Among compact SUVs with automated park assist systems (either as standard or an option pack) are the Volkswagen T-Cross, Peugeot 2008 GT Line (standard), Renault Captur, Ford Puma and the Skoda Kamiq.

In the hopes of making it easier for your mother, I’ve selected systems that have an automated steering function, to take the hassle out of maneuvering into tricky spaces.

Hope that helps!

Kez
